Making Dreams Happen

berta lippert dreams

We’re a week into April now and the snow has finally stopped falling here in Minnie. It’s even started to melt the past couple of days with a forecast of sunny skies and temperatures near 60 degrees tomorrow! Wheee!

Even though the snow will soon be gone and reminders of winter well hidden, I am just as optimistic about 2014 as I was on New Year’s Day. All of my goals and dreams for this year are in full swing and I’m marching full steam ahead to make 2014 my year to make my dreams happen!

I hope you are equally excited at all 2014 can still bring. If you had goals and dreams you were excited about back in January that have gone by the wayside, don’t be discouraged. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t eaten well in weeks, can’t remember the last time you exercised or started up that bad habit again you swore you would break. You can do this!

Take out a piece of paper and write down all of the benefits that will come when you achieve your goal. Think about all of the successes you’ll experience along the way to reaching that goal. Write those down too. Keep the list handy and refer to it as often as you need to for motivation and inspiration. Focus on why you’re achieving your goals and celebrate your successes no matter how small they appear. They are worth the recognition and so are you.

If you’d like to participate in a more comprehensive goal writing exercise, check out this great post from Move Nourish Believe. You can use these exercises to make 2014 your best year yet! You can do this. I believe in you.
