Gabrielle Bernstein – Miracles Now: Have It All

I just finished another assignment for my studies at Mayo. I’m definitely burning the candle at both ends. As I explained in this post here, an embarrassingly unhealthy habit I fall back into is cutting out sleep because I’m so driven to achieve my goals and help people, that there just aren’t enough hours in the day.

I’m better than I used to be, but I know right now I’m skating on dangerously thin ice getting back into the habit of pulling all nighters working, reminiscent of my days in the Silicon Valley. Only now I hide that from people instead of bragging about it like I did in my 20’s.

So this post is two-fold for me, #1 – I am publicly stating I will get more sleep and am using this as a means to hold myself accountable. But even more importantly, #2, I want to share a great resource with you.

You guys know I’m a big Gabby B fan. Well, after finishing this last assignment, I pulled out her book Miracles Now: 108 Life-Changing Tools for Less Stress, More Flow, and Finding Your True Purpose and told myself that whatever page I randomly opened up to, would have special meaning for me. Well just look at the page I opened up! Yup! I think the universe is trying to tell me something.

Yes, I can have it all, just not all at the same time.

Wait wha?! Yes I CAN have it all at the same time! I’m Berta Lippert! I can do this! Er, um….okay, maybe not. I get it…….Yes, I can have it all, just not all at the same time. And that’s okay.

For example, my son will always come first in my life. Period. My personal and professional goals, no matter how strong my desire is to achieve them, will always come after my son. Sure I can work on them in tandem, but if I feel there’s too many things on my plate, something’s got to give. I don’t like to give anything less than my best. And if I don’t take care of myself, my family, and prioritize, that simply won’t happen. So yes, I can have it all, just not all at the same time.

I’m thankful for the reminder today and encourage you all to check out Gabby’s book Miracles Now to find your own gems to help you achieve less stress, more flow and your true purpose!
