I had a client tell me about a goal she had for herself, but said she knew she couldn’t do it. Everyone else apparently knew she couldn’t do it either. My response to her was simple. And honest.

“Actually, you can.” I said.

If beating yourself up and insisting you can’t do something isn’t working for you, how about you try believing in yourself instead? And if the people around you don’t believe in you, find some people who do. I for one, absolutely already do. You’ve got this!
