Last night at dinner with a group of people ranging in ages from 10 to 81, my father held everyone’s attention sharing stories from his childhood. He had us all in stitches. And it was magnificent.
I thought later how sad it would be if I had never known of these stories about my dad. And I also wondered how many stories about him are still left untold. Stories left untold only because I simply didn’t ask.
So with that being said, I encourage all of you today to join me and simply ask. Call up a loved one and listen as they happily share their stories with you. Stories that you can then share long after they’re gone.
Don’t leave your loved ones stories untold.
