I’ve posted in the past about my mastectomy scars. Sometimes when I see them, I wish I didn’t have them. Most of the time I really don’t notice them. But every time, they make me feel like a warrior.
My scars aren’t who I am. They’re what I went through.
They’re daily reminders to stand up for those who come to me scared, newly diagnosed, at risk for, or in the midst of their fight against cancer. I will forever do what I can to help others. And I will forever be grateful for my scars. For they are my story to share, to inspire others on their journey.
love, b
